Duncan J. Fraser 

Founder, Owner and Operator

  

Duncan Fraser is a seasoned landscape architect with 37 years of experience guiding projects from initial planning and design all the way through construction and implementation. He earned his B.S. degree in Environmental Planning and Landscape Architecture from Cook College, Rutgers University, in 1988. When he’s not designing and building beautiful landscapes, Duncan has a variety of passions that keep him busy and inspired. He’s a competitive bagpiper at the Grade 2 and 3 levels and serves as Pipe Sergeant for the NCSU Pipes & Drums. He also enjoys hands-on projects at home, including restoring classic vehicles like Model A Fords and Dodge Power Wagon trucks.

Melodee L. Fraser

Ph.D., Co-owner

​Dr. Melodee Fraser has spent decades advancing turfgrass science. She earned her Ph.D. from Rutgers University in 1991, where her research focused on the susceptibility of fine fescues to turfgrass diseases. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Turfgrass Breeding from Rutgers, a Master of Science in Turfgrass Management from Mississippi State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Turfgrass Management, also from Mississippi State. Since 1991, she has served as Co-Owner and Director of Research at East Pure-Seed Testing Inc., leading efforts to develop turfgrass cultivars with improved resistance to disease, drought, and heat stress. Her work combines deep scientific expertise with practical applications, helping create healthier, more resilient turf for a wide range of environments.
